Privacy Policy for Multimedia Development
Custom Pods, Widgets and Tools

Effective Date: May 10, 2025

Last Updated: February 10, 2026

1. Purpose and Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Multimedia Development ("MDI", "we", "us") handles information in connection with our custom pods, widgets, and tools (collectively, the "Apps") that are designed to enhance functionality within Adobe Connect.

This Policy applies to (a) use of the Apps within Adobe Connect, and (b) our public website(s) and support communications, if any, related to the Apps. Adobe Connect itself is provided by Adobe and is governed by Adobe’s own policies and your organization’s settings.

2. Definitions

"Personal Information" means information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to an individual (for example, a name or email address). "Processing" means collecting, using, storing, disclosing, or otherwise handling information.

3. Information the Apps Access Inside Adobe Connect

When running inside Adobe Connect, the Apps may have access to limited session information provided by Adobe Connect, such as a user’s display name and role (e.g., host/participant). This information is used only to provide in-session functionality (for example, identifying who is interacting with the App).

MDI does not receive this Adobe Connect session information from the Apps, and the Apps are designed so that such information does not leave the Adobe Connect environment unless you configure a third-party service (see Section 5).

4. Data Collection and Use by MDI

Apps: MDI does not operate the Apps as a hosted service and, in the ordinary course, we do not collect, receive, or store Personal Information from the Apps.

Support: If you contact us (for example by email), we will receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We use this information to respond to you and provide support.

Website (if applicable): If you visit our website, our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, device information, and timestamps) for security and operational purposes. We do not use this information to build profiles or sell it, and we retain it only as long as reasonably necessary for security/operations.

5. Third-Party Services (Etherpad / EtherPad Connect)

Only the EtherPad Connect pod is designed to connect to a third-party Etherpad service. You may (a) host your own Etherpad server or (b) choose a third-party Etherpad provider.

When you configure EtherPad Connect to use a third-party Etherpad service, any text/content you enter into Etherpad (and related metadata) may be processed and stored by that Etherpad service according to that provider’s policies and retention practices. MDI does not control and does not have access to the data stored by the Etherpad service you select, unless you separately provide access to us for troubleshooting.

None of our other Apps integrate with third-party APIs unless explicitly stated in the App documentation.

6. Cookies and Tracking

The Apps are not designed to set tracking cookies for advertising purposes. If you visit our website, the site may use essential cookies required for basic operation. We do not use third-party advertising trackers unless we explicitly disclose them.

7. Data Retention

MDI does not retain App-generated user data because we do not receive it. Support communications (such as emails) may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide support, maintain records, and meet legal obligations.

Any retention by a third-party Etherpad service is governed by that service and your configuration.

8. Security

The Apps are distributed for you to run within your Adobe Connect environment. After download/installation, the Apps are not intended to communicate with MDI servers. If an App is later updated to include optional communications (for example, update checks), we will disclose that change in the App documentation and update this Policy.

No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for securing your Adobe Connect environment, any self-hosted services (including self-hosted Etherpad), and your configuration choices.

9. Your Choices

10. International Use

If you access our website or contact us from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where we or our service providers operate.

11. Children’s Privacy

Our Apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us Personal Information, please contact us so we can delete it.

12. Legal Bases (EEA/UK Notice, if applicable)

Where data protection laws apply, we process support communications and basic website logs based on legitimate interests (security, operations, and support), and/or to perform a contract (providing requested support). You may have rights such as access, correction, or deletion depending on your jurisdiction.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted here and the “Last Updated” date will be revised. Material changes will be communicated through reasonable means (for example, release notes or an in-App notice) where practical.
